An excellent mount for the accomplished rider as well as the young amateur. He is very gentle and good with kids. He's done up to training level in dressage and has done it all you name it. He's done fox Hunting, Jumper, Hunter Jumper, Hunter under Saddle, Games,Dressage, Trail riding, Cross- Country, conformation and much more. The only thing he hasn't done is Eventing but he loves jumping and being outside in fields so he wouldn't have a problem. He was Res. champ for walk trot in 2004 for the Kawartha Lakes Dressage Association. He is very easy to ride. He is very calm and fun to be around. Great personaility. Popeye is great with all ages. I bought him when he was 6 and he really didn't know much and within the next month of buying him I took him to are fist show. He was very well behaved and we placed first. He is a fast learner and is the kind of horse you can just jump on and go. No matter when you last worked him. Popeye is like a big puppydog. He is quite the character.
